子どもの頃に感じたあの音楽の高揚感、覚えてますか？
歌詞のことばの意味もわからず、あるいは歌声すらメロディとリズムでしか認知していない中での高まり。
いつしか脳髄は成長し、色々なことに意味を作り出した。
たまにはそんな思考、文字の渦から離れていたい。
そんな時、音楽は最適です。
脳で聞かず、体で聞く。
思考すら排除せざるを得ない爆音、アルコールで酔った体にしみ込んでいく低音と切り裂く高音。
視覚を支配するカラフルな映像と光。
そもそも僕がVJを始めたのはそんな理由だったのかな。
映像をパーカッションとする感覚、原始的かつ現代的な倒錯。
そんなものに酔いしれたっていいじゃない。
僕のもう一つの一面、VJを最大限ぶつけようと思います。

『21年の貫禄で魅せるロングラン・ハードテクノパーティ』
21年ものあいだ、日本のハードテクノシーンの旗手として開催されているReboot。
主催者であるQ'heyのもと、アンダーグラウンドの最先端ハードテクノサウンドにこだわりながら、海外と国内の才能を大小の規模で紹介し続けているロングラン・パーティだ。
今回のアニバーサリーパーティは、Rebootだけでなく、レジデントであるMayuriとTakamiのバースデーバッシュもあわせたスペシャルな一夜として開催する。
鉄壁のレジデント陣が迎える今回のゲストは、〈Soma Quality Recordings〉と深く関わってきたスコットランドのプロデューサーHarvey McKay。〈Drumcode〉や〈Cocoon〉といった人気レーベルからもリリースを果たしている実力派だ。
Harvey McKayと同じく、もうひとりのゲストRoberto Capuanoも〈Drumcode〉や〈Suara〉のほか、数々の名レーベルから過去10年にわたって作品を発表しながらキャリアを築いてきたプロデューサーだ。ダークでダイナミックなテクノにRoberto Capuanoらしさを詰め込んだ音楽性は、DJでも存分に発揮されている。
さらにContactフロアにも豪華テクノアーティストが集結！ Go Hiyamaや、ライヴとDJのハイブリッドセットを披露するBroken Hazeらが登場する。
Foyerフロアには、スウェーデンのアーティストLoljudによるライヴセットのほか、国内からDJたちがRebootの祝福に駆け付ける。新進気鋭からベテランまで網羅したラインナップが、90年代から打ち出してきた“REBOOTサウンド”でこのスペシャルな一夜を盛り上げる。
「The long-standing techno night comes of age in style」
For the past 21 years Reboot has been flying the flag for techno culture in Japan.
With Q’hey at its helm, the long-standing party has been pushing international and local talent across a wealth of events big and small, constantly committed to the freshest underground sounds.
As well as celebrating more than two decades of Reboot, this special anniversary event at Contact also serves as a birthday party for Reboot residents Mayuri and Takami.
Alongside the esteemed residents, the Studio X Floor will welcome Harvey McKay, the Scottish producer closely linked with the legendary Soma Quality Recordings.
McKay can also be found releasing music on the mighty Drumcode and Cocoon labels – proof if it were needed of the high-profile level McKay operates at. Roberto Capuano will also take to the decks.
Much like McKay, he’s forged a career over the past 10 years that has landed him on Drumcode and Suara as well as many other quality record labels.
His approach as a DJ reflects his attitude as a producer – dark, dynamic techno loaded with personality and flair.
Beyond the main room, Reboot’s mammoth 21st anniversary party also features a strong team of artists performing for Technophilia, including Go Hiyama, and Broken Haze performing a live / DJ hybrid set.
Meanwhile in the Foyer, Swedish artist Loljud heads up another sizable list of performers with a live set.
At every turn there’s a focus on emergent and established techno talent, capturing in one night what Reboot have stood for since the late ‘90s.
